MCAxe and the Firecrew & Kasey "The Fire & Life Safety Dog" entertain and educate. They visited Amy Beverland Elementary 1st and 2nd graders on Thursday, October 7, 2004. The Firecrew uses parity music of familiar songs fromthe 50's, 60's 70's and 80's. Using music makes the life saving messages memorable for the young people. Also Kasey "The Fire & Life Safety Dog" actually demonstrates the various skills taught to the children, reinforcing the message, thus making the program both entertaining and educational.

There are a total of 15 members in the group made up of: Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, a nurse and members from Indiana Department of Natural Resources combine their expertise to teach these life saving messages.

MCAxe and the Firecrew & Kasey work in coordination with the People's Burn Foundation as one of their educational programs, and Koorsen Fire and Security provides support to make MCAxe and the Firecrew and Kasey available.
